About Us

PreMemories is an up and coming business founded by Pat Hinton with the help of her sister, Cassandra. Pat was inspired when her grandmother passed away in 2006. She wanted to create a memory etched and timeless in a medallion for all family members, so that she and other family members would have a lasting image, frozen in time of their beloved Georgia Mae Thomas. The family felt that others would want to create medals for their beloved family members who had passed away, as well. At sunrise on a cool Mississippi morning, sitting in a swing under an old oak tree, at the house where Grandma Thomas passed away, family members discussed the starting of the business.

Our First Medallion - Honoring Georgia Mae Thomas

Pat did create a photo image medallion for herself and family (see picture above). The front side of the medallion had a picture of Grandma Thomas, and the back side had the words inscribed "In Loving Memory, Our Queen, Georgia Mae Thomas, 6-7-06". Everyone was so amazed at the quality and workmanship that was evident in the medallion. Even the funeral home was impressed with this medallion and wanted to add the medal as an item that any of their customers could purchase.

As time went on the sisters lost two more family members when V'Ethel Crisler and Albert Robinson passed away in June 2007. The sisters, again, had medallions created for their beloved family members. The funeral homes for both of these events were also impressed with the quality and very affordable cost of these medals, and wanted to be able to create medallions for their customers as well.

After designing and creating these medals to honor their family members who had passed away in 2006 and 2007, the Richardson-Harston family asked the sisters to design and create a medal to commemorate their 50th family reunion that was to be celebrated in August of 2007. The sisters came through again, and that was the birth of PreMemories. "Pre" is a contraction for Pat, and Memories is for Grandma Thomas.

We hope you are inspired by our story and purpose to provide a way for you to honor and commemorate family members who pass away, family reunions, family members at Christmas time, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, or other special events in your lives. Each one of us is a unique creation of God, and we should take time to mark the important milestones in our lives with something lasting and timeless.
